PHOTO OF THE MONTH - September 2015 - Mayan Woman
Region of Solola, next to Lake Atitlan. This image of a Mayan woman was taken in a village close to Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. The colors of the clothing worn by the people of the region are fabulous. This lady was resting. My eyes stopped on the details of her hands and the cloth she wore. The yellow wall on which it was leaning made a perfect background. I wanted a representative picture of the cultural beauty of this area. I think this intimate photograph represents well the rich mayan culture and at the same time keeps a certain anonymity.
